Converge was designed around the belief that emotional trust does not emerge accidentally. The structure surrounding an interaction — the pace, the incentives, the expectations, and the environment itself — all shape the quality of the experience people ultimately have with one another.
Most modern dating platforms optimize for engagement. More profiles, more swiping, more time spent inside the system. In many cases, the user becomes the product itself: attention is monetized, data is collected aggressively, and the platform benefits most when people remain active indefinitely.
